Birthday Parties

Birthday and balloons image We now hire our facilities for birthday parties. These are arranged to take place on a non public running day to give exclusive train rides and use of the club house facilities. This is what we offer:

Railway

Private use of at least two trains and passenger carriages for the two hours duration of the party.

Clubhouse

The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker, hot water boiler and washing facilities. Note! The hirer of the facility will need to provide all crockery and utensils and we would suggest that paper / disposable plates, cups and eating utensils be used as this will save you time and effort.

*KDMES will provide adequate staffing to ensure the safe use of the railway however you must provide adult supervision for the children's general behaviour.*

Bonfire Night - A thing of the past?

Bonfire night and model train

Usually in November we have held a Bonfire Party at the Marley railway track. As well as the traditional bonfire and fireworks the trains run with lights on. Unfortunately the escalating cost of insurance means we are no longer able to run the event. Unless you would like to become a sponsor for it!

Although the pie and peas were excellent, some drivers like to have a fry up as well!

Christmas Mince Pie Special trains in station
As an alternative we now run during the Christmas holidays with the event called 'The Mince Pie Special'. Seasonal refreshments available in the club house. Running is of course weather dependant!
