Keighley and District Model Engineering Society (KDMES) has members from all walks of life. The common interest is in mechanical and nautical models, with our main interests being yachts, steam trains, scale and power boats. We sail yachts at Weecher reservoir most Thursdays and Sundays, and boats at various times on Redcar (Keighley) tarn, whilst the trains run for the public on certain advertised days between May and November at Marley Activity and Coaching Centre, originally known as King George V playing fields. You will also see the portable railway track at galas around the area.
We hope you enjoy looking round this site and look forward to seeing you at one of our open days. The map below shows where the different sections meet around the Keighley District. Clicking on the pictures will take you to the relevant section in this website.
Although you are welcome to come and watch, and ride the trains on public running days, if you would like to take part in our activities then you will need to become a member. For more information go to the About Us page and you will also find the appropriate contact details at the foot of the section pages.
